THE BOX is the first connected parcel to be validated by IATA (International Air Transport Association) as part of its air cargo device evaluation program.
IATA has launched an evaluation program to validate the compliance of tracking devices, data loggers and sensor-equipped devices with rigorous safety standards. The program is based on IATA's Recommended Practice 1693, which provides guidelines for battery safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
This program offers numerous advantages for the airfreight industry:
Having successfully passed all the necessary tests, THE BOX has obtained IATA validation, confirming that it complies with air freight safety standards. This recognition guarantees the battery safety and electromagnetic compatibility of our solution. THE BOX is now recognized and accepted worldwide for air transport.
This validation opens up a host of new opportunities: smoother, safer and more environmentally-friendly international deliveries.
“IATA validation is essential for a solution such as THE BOX: our customers need to know that our product complies with the strictest global standards, and that they can use it for their international deliveries. With IATA validation, THE BOX becomes universally usable for air freight”, says Denis Mourrain, Director of Operations at LivingPackets.
