We kicked things off in 2016 as a small research team developing THE BOX, based in Nantes. Since then, we’ve grown to a kick-ass team of nearly 80 people, with offices in Paris, Nantes, and Berlin.
There are over 35 patents for THE BOX, some granted, some pending. We’ve run successful pilots with big partners such as Orange, Cdiscount, and Chronopost. THE BOX was named the “product with the greatest potential to change the world” at CES 2020, and there’s been overwhelming industry interest since. Next step: mass-production.
This is still the calm before we take the e-commerce market by the storm! Going with what we believe is right, we want everyone to have a share in our excitement and success: that’s why we’ve dedicated 50% of all our future profits to rewarding anyone who contributes to our mass production!
Of course, we expect THE BOX to be a success, but like all the other parties involved, including the Sharing Angels, we have taken a business risk. A total loss was and is always possible, as with any business venture.
We offer our Sharing Angels the opportunity to request a refund of the amount they contributed for the next 30 days as a one-time exception. Of course, we assume that THE BOX will be a success, but like all other parties involved, including the Sharing Angels, we have taken a business risk. Naturally, there is the possibility that the company fails, at which point all or part of your contribution might be lost.
The SA will receive up to 5 times its contribution if and insofar as the company generates profits, in which case 50% of the company's profits will be paid to the SA without any time limit (not just 8 years). However, it is and has always been possible that you may lose all or part of your contribution, e.g. if we do not make a profit, or not enough profit. Of course, we assume that THE BOX will be successful, but like all other participants, including the Sharing Angels, we have taken a business risk.
For now, your trust and the sharing of our vision is the greatest support, for which we are very grateful. We hold on to our vision to involve everyone who contributes to the value of LivingPackets and are working on offering a new model soon.
We continue to adhere to our production schedule for THE BOXes and the planned market launch. We will produce 50,000 units initially, and we expect to reach our target of 100,000 THE BOXes by Q2 2021. We are flexible enough to increase production at any time if necessary. LivingPackets has the financial resources to implement the production independently of the SharingAngel campaign.
Should you decide on a refund, you can apply for it directly via your dashboard. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact firstname.lastname@example.org. However, we can assure you that we will continue to adhere to our vision and carry out the production of THE BOX and the planned market launch in Q1 2021 using our own resources.
Your contribution is entirely legal. We understand that recent events may have unsettled you and we apologize for this uncertainty. At this time nothing has changed in your position as a Sharing Angel. We continue to work with the same conviction and belief in the vision and opportunities that THE BOX offers.
Your position as a Sharing Angel will remain unchanged if you leave your contribution with us. As mentioned above, for the next 30 days, we also offer you the extraordinary opportunity to apply for a refund of the amount you already contributed. We will inform you of new developments in good time.
We understand that the recent events may have unsettled you, and we apologize for this uncertainty. We offer you a full refund of the amount already pledged. Your position as a Sharing Angel will remain unaffected if you do not request a refund. We can assure you, however, that we will continue to hold on to our vision and carry out the production of THE BOX and the planned market launch in Q1 2021. Should you request a refund, your money will be refunded via the means of payment you used to contribute. Should you decide to remain a Sharing Angel, your contract will continue, and we will use your money for the production of THE BOX in the future.
The German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) announced in a consumer release that they have indications that LivingPackets SA has offered an investment without a sales prospectus as part of the Sharing Angel campaign. We contacted BaFin immediately to comply with all requests, clarify any ambiguities, and initiate corrective measures. We cooperate transparently and openly, and according to our information, this case has already been closed as far as BaFin is concerned.
In an initial pilot project with our partner Cdiscount, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in France, we were able to test almost all aspects of our product and demonstrate that we can build a functioning business model. Our business model has been validated several times and has been awarded the Seal of Excellence of the European Union, among other accolades. LivingPackets has the financial resources to implement the production independently of the Sharing Angel campaign.
We see ourselves as a European company. We currently have offices and R&D locations in Switzerland, France and Germany, and we are working on new subsidiaries in countries around the world.
We offer a variety of services that make sending and receiving parcels smart, swift, and stress free. Our profits are derived from these services, which we call Packaging-as-a-Service. Because we use a unit of THE BOX at least 1,000 times, we can generate at least a thousand times more revenue with it than a single-use cardboard box.
We want THE BOX to circulate and be reused a 1,000 times before it needs refurbishment. So we designed a lot of ways to enable circulation. 1. If you receive a shipment that you want to return (partially), you just have to push the button on THE BOX to arrange the return to the sender. 2. If you have an empty unit of THE BOX, you can always use it for your own shipment. 3. If you have THE BOX at home, you can return it to a Guardian nearby and get a reward for it. He will then give it to the next person in need for packaging. 4. You can always give an empty unit to a neighbour or a friend so he can use it. 5. We can use THE BOX to target people at their homes to send goods to recycling, resale or refurbishment or donate them to NGO's. 6. We work on cooperating with logistics providers to let them collect unused units of THE BOX when they deliver shipments to bring them back into circulation.
We call it Packaging-as-a-Service. We want to stop the use of waste packaging, so we invented the packaging of the future, where we do not charge for the packaging but for using our packaging services.
